  • The Nvidia Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) for Games was also announced, a customizable AI model foundry service with pre-trained models for game developers. Additionally, Huang discussed the world’s first computer with a transformer engine, the HGX H100, and the Grace Hopper superchip, which has 4 PetaFIOPS TE and 144 TB GPU memory.
  • The release of Nvidia’s GH200 Grace Hopper, which is now in full production, is one of the most exciting announcements. The superchip boasts 4 PetaFIOPS TE, 72 Arm CPUs connected by chip-to-chip link, 96GB HBM3, and 576 GPU memory. Nvidia’s DGX GH200, made by connecting 256 Grace Hopper chips, has 144 TB GPU memory and functions as a giant GPU.

Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, gave a keynote presentation at Computex 2021, highlighting the company’s latest updates. The presentation was packed with exciting announcements, including new graphics cards and software improvements. Here’s a roundup of Nvidia’s latest updates.

The flagship announcement was the new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, featuring Nvidia’s latest Ampere architecture. This graphics card is designed to offer gamers impressive performance improvements over its predecessor, the RTX 3080. It offers 10,240 CUDA cores and 12GB GDDR6X memory, making it ideal for high-end gaming.

Nvidia also showcased their new licensing program for Arm CPUs, called the Nvidia Arm HPC Software Development Kit. This kit aims to simplify the development of high-performance computing (HPC) applications running on Arm-based processors. The kit includes tools such as compilers, libraries, and debugging techniques.

In addition, Nvidia announced the launch of DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support for virtual reality headsets. DLSS is a technology that uses AI to enhance the visual quality of games while maintaining high frame rates.

Another exciting announcement was the expansion of Nvidia’s Omniverse platform. Omniverse provides a collaborative workspace for designers and engineers to integrate 3D models into a shared virtual environment. The platform also introduced the Material Definition Language (MDL), which allows users to share and maintain consistent 3D material data across different software applications.

Lastly, Nvidia introduced the new Nvidia Studio Laptop program to partner with several laptop manufacturers, such as HP, MSI, and Razer, to create high-performance laptops for content creators. These laptops will feature Nvidia’s RTX graphics card and provide exceptional performance in creative applications like Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk 3ds Max, and more.

Overall, Nvidia’s presentation at Computex 2021 impressed the attendees with their new graphics card, software, and collaboration updates. These updates demonstrate Nvidia’s commitment to pushing the limits of technology in the gaming and creative industries.
