ATU-Ozark, a prominent healthcare education institution in Arkansas, has announced the opening of its new facility for cardiac sonography. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, designed to provide students with the best possible education and training in the field.
Cardiac sonography, also known as echocardiography, is a non-invasive imaging technique used to diagnose and monitor heart conditions. It involves using ultrasound technology to create images of the heart’s structures and blood flow. Cardiac sonographers are highly skilled professionals who play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The new facility at ATU-Ozark includes three simulation labs, each equipped with advanced ultrasound machines and a range of pathology models. These labs will give students hands-on experience working with the latest technology and techniques in cardiac sonography.
In addition to the simulation labs, the facility also includes a lecture hall, study areas, and faculty offices. The lecture hall is equipped with advanced audiovisual equipment, allowing instructors to present material in engaging and interactive ways.
“We are thrilled to open this new facility for our cardiac sonography program,” said Dr. Billie Jean Davenport, Dean of Health Sciences at ATU-Ozark. “Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in the United States, and the demand for skilled cardiac sonographers is growing. This new facility will allow us to provide our students with the best possible education and training, so they can meet this demand and make a difference in the lives of their patients.”
The new facility for cardiac sonography is just one of the many programs offered by ATU-Ozark. The institution also offers degrees and certificates in nursing, surgical technology, respiratory therapy, and more. With its commitment to quality education and advanced technology, ATU-Ozark is helping to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals to meet the challenges of the future.
