Teen Tech 2023’s first week at Autry Technology Center has come to an end, and students are buzzing with excitement about their experiences so far. This unique summer program offers Oklahoma high school students the opportunity to explore emerging technologies through hands-on learning.
Over the course of the first week, students have been introduced to a range of topics, including robotics, coding, and 3D printing. They’ve been working in teams to design and build their own robots, learning programming languages like Python and working with 3D modeling software to create their own designs.
The program has been a hit among students, many of whom see it as an opportunity to gain real-world experience in technology fields. “It’s been so cool to see what we can create when we put our minds to it,” said Riley, a student participant. “I’ve always been interested in robotics, but now I’m actually building one!”
Teen Tech 2023 is also providing students with the chance to connect with industry professionals and gain insights into potential careers in technology. “It’s been really inspiring to hear from people who work in tech and learn about all the different paths you can take,” said Matthew, another student participant.
As the program moves into its second week, students are eager to continue exploring new technologies and building their skills. With the support of Autry Technology Center staff and their peers, they’re poised to achieve great things over the coming weeks.
