Both “Dead Island 2” and “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” are having problems

  • In today’s gaming news roundup, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have been dragged through the mud due to poor performance, Dead Island 2 has been postponed, there are several new game releases, and Activision Blizzard is coming out of China.

There are reviews for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the games are the next step in the franchise and move to open world, but the performance on the Nintendo Switch is abysmal.A clip of the game went viral on Twitter and the Nintendo Switch Even games don’t look good. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are doing well so far, with a Metacritic reaction of 77 at the time of writing. In perhaps the most anticipated news for all Dead Island fans, Dead Island 2 has been postponed. The game was originally slated for release in 2015, but over the years changed owners, moved between multiple developers, and ended up under Dambuster Studios. Dead Island 2 was originally slated for release in February 2023, but as you can see in the tweet above, the game’s release date is now his April 28th, 2023. Of course, delays are not a bad thing. We’ll have to wait a little longer to see if they actually managed to pull it off.

Releases are piling up, with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet already out today, along with The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC, as well as Goat Simulator 3, released yesterday. You can read our review of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me here. Goat Simulator 3 is clearly just as silly as its predecessor, and as mentioned above, the Pokemon are a bit buggy. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is his latest Sony game to come to PC, and his PlayStation version of the game has scored an 85 on Metacritic. So, we have something for everyone to play this week.
