China already has Android iPhone 14 Pro knockoffs for sale

The clone deftly imitates a number of features of the iPhone 14 Pro’s design, including the rear camera arrangement and pill-shaped notch, claims a MacRumors report. The Android-powered knockoffs arrive in boxes that resemble the originals, down to the sticky pull-tabs and bar codes on the accessories. The video below shows what the iPhone 14 Pro copy looks like.

The iPhone 14 Pro copycat has a look that is strikingly similar to the original, down to the lockscreen, widgets, and icons. There is just one day left till Apple launches its iPhone 14 series, and many people are eager to see what the Cupertino-based tech giant has in store. And if you’re anxious to get your hands on an iPhone 14 Pro, you might be astonished to learn that an Android-powered phone that looks exactly like an iPhone 14 Pro is already on sale in China.

Highlights

  • These clones are powered by a heavily skinned version of Android, which has the same icons, widgets, wallpapers and other features as iOS. Even the camera app and lock screen look similar to that on iOS. And apart from the difference in hardware, the clones feature a large chin bottom bezel with some rear cameras acting as a placeholder for the design. Also, the clone cannot recreate iOS animations such as when the device is unlocked. The report also suggests that counterfeit iPhone 14 cases went on sale earlier this year in China. While clones like these are pretty common, it is rare to see an iPhone clone ahead of the official launch.
