Apple has just made the latest version of its desktop operating system, macOS Ventura 13.4 beta 1, available for developers to test. This beta release, which comes just a few weeks after macOS Monterey 12.1, presents several new enhancements and bug fixes.

The most striking improvement in Ventura 13.4 beta 1 is the introduction of the highly-anticipated Universal Control, which simplifies the use of multiple Apple devices by allowing users to move their cursor seamlessly between them. This feature also enables users to drag and drop files between Macs and iPads, streamlining workflows and making working on Apple devices much more efficient.

Ventura 13.4 beta 1 also comes with a range of bug fixes, including resolving an issue in which text was unreadable when using VoiceOver with Safari, and fixing a bug that caused iMessage notifications to appear behind other windows.

Developers can now access Ventura 13.4 beta 1 through the Apple Developer website, and it is expected to be available to public beta testers in the coming weeks. While the final version of Ventura 13.4 is not expected until next year, this beta release provides insight into the new features and improvements that we can expect in the future updates.
