The good news is that if you own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, it appears that Samsung has started to roll out the Android 12L update for the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup over in Europe and South Korea. This changed earlier this year when Google created Android 12L, which offered a more optimised experience for tablet and foldable devices.
Google initially developed a special version of Android dubbed Honeycomb that was designed for devices with larger screens, such as tablets. Later, Google virtually consolidated all of its Android versions so that the user experience is practically the same regardless of the device you’re using.

Owners of the Tab S8 would undoubtedly prefer the Android 13 update, but the switch to Android 12L is still a big success. This is due to the fact that, as we previously stated, Android 12L was designed with larger screen devices, like tablets, in mind and provides an improved multitasking experience that makes use of the larger display.

The Tab S8 is now the second Samsung smartphone to adopt Android 12L thanks to the rollout. The first Samsung foldable to come pre-loaded with that particular version of Android was the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which was unveiled earlier this month.
The update is now being released in South Korea and Europe, but we anticipate that it won’t be long before it spreads to other regions of the globe.
