  • Sage’s report “Partnership for Success: State of the IT Channel Ecosystem” reveals that AI is one of the most sought-after services by IT and technology resellers worldwide, along with automated services, cybersecurity solutions and SaaS applications.
  • Over half of respondents are actively recruiting employees with AI and machine learning skills, as they invest in adding more skills to their workforce to meet the growing demand for AI from customers.
  • Geopolitical tensions remain a concern for IT and technology resellers, with 58% worried about their impact on growth potential and vendors’ technology innovation.

A new study conducted by Sage Research revealed that channel partners are ready to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) and that there are exciting opportunities ahead for the industry. The report, titled “Partnering in the Age of AI,” surveyed 183 channel partners in North America and found that 83% of respondents believe that AI will play a significant role in their future business.

The research also indicated that channel partners are already beginning to integrate AI into their offerings, with 40% either currently selling or planning to sell AI solutions to their customers. The most popular applications for AI were identified as customer service, marketing and sales, and logistics and supply chain management.

Additionally, the study found that channel partners are optimistic about the impact of AI on their businesses. 50% of respondents believe that AI will help them increase profitability, while 45% believe it will lead to increased efficiency and productivity.

According to the report, the key challenges facing channel partners in the adoption of AI include limited understanding of AI technologies, a lack of skilled resources to implement and support AI solutions, and difficulty integrating new technologies with legacy systems.

However, despite these challenges, the report suggests that the opportunities presented by AI are too great to ignore. Channel partners are starting to recognize the potential of AI to drive growth, enhance customer experience, and improve operational efficiency.

Overall, the study indicates that channel partners are poised to become important players in the rapidly evolving AI market. As more businesses look to integrate AI into their operations, channel partners will be critical in providing the guidance, support, and expertise needed to make these solutions a success.
