Users of the Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra can check for the new update by going to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and install if they are in Switzerland. The new firmware can also be downloaded from our firmware database and manually flashed to install the update.

Switzerland is starting to receive the most recent software update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It has the February 2023 security patch and firmware version N98xBXXS5GWB1. Although Samsung hasn’t provided a comprehensive changelog for the new security patch, we are confident that it fixes a large number of security flaws and vulnerabilities. Within the next few days, the update may spread to Galaxy Note 20 series devices in other European nations.

In the middle of 2020, Samsung released the Galaxy Note 20 series with Android 10 pre-installed. Early in 2021, Android 11 was updated for the smartphones, followed by Android 12 in late 2021 and Android 13 in late 2022. The smartphones in the lineup will still receive security updates but no new Android OS updates in the future.
