Fitbit irregular heart rhythm notifications [U] they are not supported by Pixel Watch

  • The Pixel Watch lacks the full set of health features found on even the most basic Fitbit tracker. Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications are not officially supported on the Pixel Watch, but the feature appears to be available for some users.

Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications are not available on the Pixel Watch, according to Google. If you see that menu in the Fitbit app today, it’s simply a history of previous notifications — even if you haven’t received any — from previously paired devices that were compatible. Despite the fact that a current “Data last analysed” date appears.

As a result, even if you come across this page, don’t expect to receive Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications when wearing the Pixel Watch.

While the Pixel Watch has an ECG app that records electrical signals for 30 seconds and searches for signs of AFib (Atrial Fibrillation) on demand, it does not support Irregular Heart Rhythm Notifications that work while you’re standing still or sleeping.

Some Pixel Watch owners, however, are seeing an Irregular Rhythm Notifications page in the Fitbit app’s Discover tab. It describes the feature and allows you to “View Notifications.” This page records the last time data was analysed.

Those notifications are available on the Sense 2, Sense, Versa 4, Versa 3, Versa 2, Versa Lite, Charge 5, Charge 4, Charge 3, Luxe, Inspire 3, and Inspire 2, but not on the Pixel Watch, which is explicitly not mentioned in support documents, product pages, or specifications.

As a result, it’s unclear whether Fitbit enabled this feature on purpose or if it was caused by a bug. It’s similar to how you can get Fall Detection by resetting your Pixel Watch and pairing it again. We’ll contact the company for more information.

The Pixel Watch also lacks SpO2 tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, and skin temperature variation when compared to most other Fitbit devices.
