The program is currently offered by 260 education providers in 14 countries. Amazon has a rigorous selection process for education partners and chose Fullstack Academy for its high level of live virtual instruction and support, strong student support mechanisms, and demonstrated commitment to groups that have historically been excluded in the technology industry.

The Career Choice program enables eligible Amazon employees to learn new skills to succeed professionally at Amazon or elsewhere by offering a variety of educational and training opportunities, including prepaid tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and basic skills such as English proficiency, high school diplomas and GEDs. Amazon pre-pays tuition, books and fees up to a maximum annual amount with no lifetime limit for eligible hourly employees. Since the program’s launch in 2012, more than 90,000 Amazon employees worldwide have participated – more than 35,000 of them in the U.S. alone.

“We are honored to be a partner school in the Career Choice program, providing technical training to Amazon employees to not only increase access to local, in-demand jobs, but also support the growth of the local community,” said Jerrad Tausz, CEO of Fullstack Academy. “As an AWS training partner, we are excited to further expand our partnership with Amazon and contribute to the development of new cloud talent through the integration of AWS Cloud Practitioner training and certification. Graduates of the Fullstack Academy Career Choice program will be prepared to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, and exam vouchers are included in the program. Together with Amazon, we are committed to providing valuable tech education, job search resources, and continuous improvement for students.”

Fullstack Academy’s Web Development Bootcamp teaches full-stack JavaScript, giving participants a foundation in front- and back-end web development and the critical coding skills needed for in-demand coding jobs. Bootcamp participants receive a portfolio to showcase their knowledge and skills needed for employment as a web developer, back-end engineer, or programmer.
