  • Google has released a “prohibited use policy” for users of its upcoming goods and capabilities in advance of generative AI being added to Gmail and Documents as well as by third parties. Google’s post from yesterday begins with the statement, “Generative AI models can help you explore new ideas, spark your creativity, and learn new things.”

But, we anticipate that you will use and interact with them responsibly and legally. Thus, you may not make use of any Google services that make mention of this policy. Conduct or assist in engaging in harmful, prohibited, or criminal actions. Create and disseminate material with the intent to mislead or deceive

Create sexually explicit material, such as anything made for pornography or for satisfaction sexual (e.g. sexual chatbots). Notably, this excludes anything produced with a scientific, educational, documentary, or aesthetic intent. It is forbidden to “try to override or circumvent safety filters or intentionally drive the model to perform in a manner that contravenes our policies,” according to the first and most comprehensive point of the clause.

Similar to Bard, Google declared that it would introduce the Gmail and Documents services this month via a reputable tester program. The ability to formalize, elaborate, condense, “bulletize,” and summarize entire streams of text was demonstrated by Google in Gmail. Image creation in Slides and letting Google Meet take notes during a call are two more cutting-edge features.
