Tech giant Google rolled out a redesign of Gmail to simplify iOS setup.
His Gmail settings on iPhone and iPad have been redesigned by first breaking the separation of public and accounts.
The settings list begins by separating Chat and Meet settings, allowing users to quickly turn off these tabs.
Additionally, colored icons are used to draw attention to each element.
Though exclusive to iOS, it’s a major redesign of Gmail’s settings and may come to Android.
The notifications section has common controls, but the inbox and compose and reply sections are fairly basic. Finally, there is the “General” section.
The report says it’s easy to use and similar to Chrome’s settings for iOS.
The company previously launched a pilot program to keep political campaign emails out of his Gmail users’ spam folders.
The program allowed candidates, party committees, and leadership political action committees to request spam folder exceptions. “Google is under attack by algorithms that unfairly target conservative content within the service and by Gmail services that filter out more Republican fundraising and campaign emails than spam.”
