Some Grand Theft Auto fans believe Rockstar Games will announce and reveal GTA 6 at E3 2021, based on a new tweet from E3’s official Twitter account.Reliable source GTA 6 is currently in development at Rockstar. A sequel to the game will be made. A related question has always been when GTA 6 will be released, not if.
GTA 6 is still several years away, meaning its reveal is not imminent. Despite evidence suggesting that GTA 6’s reveal is still far away, some Grand Theft Auto fans now believe a reveal/announcement is imminent based on the above tweet.
On Twitter, GTA 6 News & Leaks asked the official E3 Twitter account if fans can expect a GTA 6 announcement at E3 this June. Sitch responded with a head-patting GIF.
For some, this is proof that GTA 6 will be revealed at E3 2021, but that’s clearly a long way to go. Not only does the answer not indicate this, but all the rumors and reports above suggest that the game will be at least a few years away from being revealed. I have some wrenches.
Given the three years between GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2’s release and announcement, it’s reasonable to expect the game to release this year. This October marks three years since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. So will GTA 6 come out this year? Sure, if history is any clue, it could. However, don’t expect it to be a hint this time. Especially don’t expect the game to be revealed at E3 2021. GTA 7 is as likely to be announced at E3 as GTA 6 was announced at the Summer Show.
For one thing, Rockstar Games hasn’t attended E3 in years. GTA 5 made headlines at his E3 in 2013, but it had already been announced.
Second, Rockstar Games won’t reveal or talk about GTA 6 before releasing an “enhanced and improved” version of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X. If you want people to buy the ‘next generation’ version of GTA 5, cancel ahead of time and don’t publish GTA 6.
