ISRO Chief Unveils India’s Plan to Launch Space Station by 2028

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced its plans to launch a space station by 2028, as revealed by ISRO chief K Sivan. This ambitious project aims to establish a permanent human presence in space and further India’s space exploration ambitions.

The proposed Indian space station will be designed to accommodate a crew of astronauts for extended periods of time, conducting experiments and research in microgravity. ISRO is planning to launch the space station using its heavy-lift rocket, the GSLV Mk III, which has proven its capability in launching heavy payloads into space.

The announcement comes as a significant milestone for ISRO, which has been steadily expanding its space program in recent years. The space agency has successfully launched numerous satellites, conducted lunar missions, and even sent a spacecraft to Mars on a shoestring budget.
