Because so many of us are keeping our phones for longer and longer periods of time, I’m sure there are some of you who still have a Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, or possibly a Galaxy S10e. If so, the January Android update has begun to arrive on your devices in the United States over the last few days.
Owners of the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, and Galaxy S10e should keep an eye out for the following builds:
What has changed? Everyone will receive the January Android update I mentioned, or, as Verizon puts it, “the most up to date Android security patches on your device.” There are also “performance improvements” for the Galaxy S21 series.
Obviously, this isn’t a significant update, but the Galaxy S23 is on the way, as is One UI 5.1. While none of these devices will be the first to receive the significant update to One UI 5.1, they should all receive it, with the exception of the Galaxy S10e. The update tanks on the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 are both full.
