Koch Technology Solutions selected as Lithium extraction provider by Grounded Lithium

  • Grounded Lithium Corp. has achieved a 98% lithium extraction recovery rate from its Kindersley Lithium Project brine using Koch Technology Solutions’ Li-Pro technology.
  • Koch Technology Solutions has proposed an evaluation program lasting several months to determine more extensive extraction results over the long-term, subject to achieving certain corporate initiatives, with GLC responsible for preparations of a functional field pilot.
  • The selection of KTS’ technology provides GLC with key data for use in the Company’s preliminary, and the company is optimistic about moving quickly towards field pilot testing.

Koch Technology Solutions (KTS), a subsidiary of Koch Industries, has been chosen as the extraction provider for Grounded Lithium, a start-up that specializes in the development of lithium mining operations. The partnership is expected to boost Grounded Lithium’s capability to produce high-quality lithium, said to be a key component in the manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles and other electronic devices.

Grounded Lithium CEO, Susan Smith, commented on the partnership saying, “We’re excited to work with KTS to extract top-quality lithium and contribute to the growth of the green energy sector. We believe that this partnership will unlock significant opportunities for us to meet the growing global demand for lithium.”

The Grounded Lithium team specializes in the development of lithium mining operations, with the goal of producing lithium in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way. The company aims to create a closed-loop system where it can recycle lithium and other minerals, minimize waste and reuse water during the extraction process.
