For users of the PC platform on mobile devices, Valve today announced a significant update to Steam. Steam has long had a mobile app from Valve, but it has consistently lacked some functions. The Steam app has undergone a significant change as a result of a persistent fan request from Valve.
Almost every aspect of this updated edition of Steam for mobile platforms, which is now available for download. The app not only has a fresh look, but it also offers more personalization options. In addition, users can now sign in to their accounts by scanning a QR code rather than entering their username and password.
Although many will likely still use Steam more often than not via the desktop app, it`s great to see that Valve is now looking to improve the user experience on mobile as well. These upgrades only continue to verify why so many PC users have made Steam their platform of choice since the service was first released nearly two decades ago.
