Camden, Arkansas – Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAUT) recently celebrated the academic achievements of its local graduates in a virtual ceremony held earlier this month.
The ceremony was attended by proud family members, friends, and faculty, who joined the graduates in commemorating their hard work and dedication to their studies.
There were a total of 75 graduates who were recognized for their various accomplishments. Among them, 29 students received Associate of Applied Science degrees, 20 earned Associate of Science degrees, and 26 were awarded Technical Certificates.
In addressing the graduates, SAUT Chancellor Dr. Jason Morrison lauded the students for their resilience and ability to adapt to the challenges they faced during their journey to earn their degrees.
“Your hard work has paid off, and we celebrate your achievements today… It’s been a difficult year for all of us, but you’ve shown remarkable resilience and determination that inspires us all,” he said.
Morrison also urged the graduates to make use of their academic achievements as a stepping stone towards bigger things.
“You are now equipped with the knowledge and skills you need to pursue your goals in your chosen fields. Seize every opportunity that comes your way, and never stop learning,” he added.
SAUT has a long-standing tradition of providing quality education and training programs to its students. The university has a campus in Camden, Arkansas, and another in East Camden, Arkansas.
