Gone are the visible cables, and the metal hinges and leather exterior have been replaced by a simpler plastic design with ear cups that swivel flat when stowed. It has been removed in favor of a gesture-responsive touch panel on the right cup. Sennheiser says the headphones have a transparent mode and improved adaptive noise cancellation (his quoted 60-hour battery life is with ANC on).
Sennheiser begins shipping fourth-generation Momentum wireless noise-cancelling cans this week, challenging Apple, Bose, and Sony in the hotly contested premium ANC headphone market. The Momentum 4, which gives him 60 hours of playback on a single charge, is a complete redesign of the company’s flagship his Momentum series, with more comfort and less “jamming.”

Sennheiser’s Momentum 4 headphones come in cream and black and are currently available for pre-order on the company’s website for $349.95 ($50 less than his Momentum 3 at launch).
