The Galaxy A73 5G (via NLTech), Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 all have this new feature available in some regions. It’s interesting to note that some users claim the feature only became available on their phones after using the Samsung 45W USB PD charger. The Game Booster app must be updated to version 5.0.03.0 in order to use this feature; you can do so through the Galaxy Store.
After updating the Game Booster app to the most recent version, the Pause USB Power Delivery feature is now available for the Galaxy S22 series. When this feature is turned on while gaming, battery charging is paused and power from the connected charger instead goes straight to the processor. This prevents the battery from warming up, which enhances the phone’s ability to play games.
Despite using a 45W charger, I tried turning on the feature on my Galaxy S21 Ultra, but it didn’t work. Perhaps only mid-range and high-end phones released in 2022 and later will support the feature at the moment. This feature has not yet been described or advertised by Samsung.
