Miyamoto himself has not confirmed that the backwards compatibility feature will be present on all of Nintendo’s future platforms, but the ease of implementation makes it likely that it will be on the Switch’s successor console. .
“We used to offer a service called ‘Virtual Console’ that allowed users to play old video games on newer consoles with newer hardware.
