The NuVasive Tube Device (NTS) and Excavation Micro, a revolutionary minimally invasive surgery (MIS) system that offers a complete solution for both TLIF and decompression, have been commercially released by NuVasive Inc. The company’s access and measurement technology offerings under the NuVasive P360 portfolio have been expanded by these developments.
“Our company’s P360 portfolio is now bolstered by the launch of NTS and Excavation Micro technologies specifically built to speed productivity while delivering greater security and reproducibility,” said Ryan Donahoe, his chief technology officer.
NTS and Excavation Micro combine advanced materials science with expandable interbody implants, biologics, Reline fixation system, and a full procedural solution incorporating assistive technology within the Pulse platform to improve surgical workflow with efficient, controlled positioning and optimized access.
“In the previous 20 years, not much has changed with regard to the tube systems available on the market. With NTS, I can now perform two treatments on the same system thanks to the amazing access design, thus solidifying NuVasive’s position as the market leader in access innovation “said Dr. David Yam, a neurosurgeon with Legacy Medical Group in Portland, Oregon. “Even with more difficult surgeries, I can finish the case through a tube rather of switching to an open procedure,” the surgeon said.
Less invasive, procedurally integrated surgical solutions from NuVasive Inc. are intended to produce outcomes that are repeatable and clinically validated. In addition to intraoperative neuromonitoring technologies and service offerings, its procedural portfolio also comprises surgical access instruments, spinal implants, fixation systems, biologics, software for surgical planning, navigation, and imaging solutions. With more than $1 billion in net sales, NuVasive serves patients, hospitals, and surgeons in more than 50 countries.
