Phillips 66 and FreeWire technologies provide EV drivers with ultra-fast charging

  • Phillips 66 has announced the installation of ultra-fast FreeWire EV chargers at its flagship gas station near its Houston headquarters.
    Earlier this year, Philips 66 and his FreeWire announced plans to deploy FreeWire’s ultrafast battery integration technology to meet EV drivers’ growing demand for fast charging on the go. Phillips 66 leverages a network of approximately 7,000 Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 brand locations and other strategic locations across the United States. This charger is his first FreeWire charger commissioned in Texas.

The launch of the EV charger reflects Phillips 66’s commitment to meeting the world’s growing energy needs while reducing its environmental footprint. The company focuses its emerging energy and sustainability business strategy on four pillars: renewable fuels, batteries, carbon capture and hydrogen.

FreeWire’s Boost Charger is a more convenient option for sites looking to enter the EV charging space. Connect to existing infrastructure without cumbersome construction costs or approval requirements. Recharging the batteries during off-peak hours when electricity is cheaper provides the necessary capacity for consumers to recharge quickly while reducing site operating costs.
