Lenneth was set to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 29th, but Square Enix decided to delay the game a week earlier.
The game is currently out almost three months later than expected, and will debut on December 22nd. Valkyrie’s official Twitter account cites a desire to “improve the quality of the title” as the official reason for the delay.
The game is available standalone and as part of the digital deluxe version of Valkyrie Elysium. available. Those who pre-ordered the latter version will receive Elysium on September 29th and Profile: Lenneth on December 22nd.
“Unfortunately, while celebrating the launch of Valkyrie Elysium, we have decided to postpone the release date of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth to December 22, 2022 as we need more time to improve the quality of the title. I did,” Game wrote.
Of course fans are a little confused! Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth was first released on his original PlayStation in 1999 before being ported to his PSP in 2006. An improved version of the PSP version was then ported to mobile in 2018 and is currently set to release on PS4 and PS5.
“For those who pre-ordered Valkyrie Elysion Digital Deluxe Edition on PlayStation Store. You will receive a copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on December 22, 2022.
It’s very strange that Square Enix has to delay the port by three months for quality reasons. It seems silly, but I hope the publisher can fix the problem quickly. Most fans seem to understand the situation, which is insane to say the least!
Luckily, in the meantime, fans still have Valkyrie Elysium available to help bridge the gap! It seems that Hopefully both Valkyrie Elysium and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth will be entertaining for new and old fans alike.
