Reliance Jio has removed all but two bundled streaming plans that come with Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscriptions. Of the multiple bundled Disney+ Hotstar plans Jio has offered users at varying prices, only two remain. It was first spotted by TelecomTalk and the list of plans ever removed include Rs 499 Plan, Rs 601 Plan, Rs 799 Plan, Rs 1,099 Plan, Rs 333 Plan, Rs 419 Plan, Rs 583 Plan, Rs 783 plans, and Rs 1,199 plans. all of which can no longer be restocked on the platform. However, users who have already recharged on one of these plans may continue to use it until it expires.
The Rs 1,499 and Rs 4,199 plans still exist and come with a bundled Disney + Hotstar subscription. However, it is still unclear whether these plans will continue in the long term. These two plans also offer a bundled Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription, but not a “mobile” subscription, so the user has only his 720p resolution and his one mobile his device.
Jio is the only telco to offer bundled Disney+ Hotstar subscriptions, and while the company has not officially announced a reason for discontinuing support for these bundled plans, the reason is that Disney+ Hotstar may no longer have the rights to stream the next IPL. However, Disney+ Hotstar will continue to stream the upcoming ICC T20 World Championship. It looks like anyone looking to buy the new top-up plan with bundled Disney + Hotstar perks will have to choose between his two remaining Jio plans that offer these perks. .
