RIVERSIDE, CA – Riverside Medical Packaging, a leading provider of pharmaceutical packaging solutions, has announced the demerger of its subsidiary company, Shawpak. The decision to separate the two entities comes as part of Riverside Medical Packaging’s strategic plan to streamline operations and focus on future growth and success.

Shawpak, a specialist in thermoforming and form-fill-seal technology, has been a key part of Riverside Medical Packaging’s business for many years. However, with an increasing demand for more specialized and focused services in the pharmaceutical packaging industry, Riverside Medical Packaging has decided that a demerger will allow both companies to operate more effectively and independently.

“This demerger will enable both Riverside Medical Packaging and Shawpak to better serve their respective customers and markets, while also providing the opportunity for each company to pursue new growth opportunities,” said James Peterson, CEO of Riverside Medical Packaging. “We believe that this strategic move will result in a more agile and dynamic business structure that is better equipped to handle the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical packaging industry.”

The demerger will allow Shawpak to operate with greater autonomy and flexibility, while Riverside Medical Packaging will be able to focus on expanding its portfolio of packaging solutions and services for pharmaceutical companies. Both companies will continue to work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing collaboration where necessary.

“With this demerger, we are positioning both Riverside Medical Packaging and Shawpak for future success and growth,” added Peterson. “We are confident that this strategic move will enable us to better serve our customers and drive innovation in the pharmaceutical packaging industry.”

The demerger of Shawpak from Riverside Medical Packaging is expected to be completed within the next few months, with a seamless transition for all stakeholders. Both companies are committed to ensuring minimal disruption to operations and will communicate with customers and suppliers throughout the process to ensure a smooth transition.
