Street Fighter fans received some news this week about the upcoming Street Fighter 6. This could bode well for the game’s release date: Capcom says the game won’t release until 2023, but Street Fighter 6 is already rated by several regional rating boards. And it seems. Capcom hasn’t announced an official release date, but this could indicate that the game will likely release in early 2023.
The rating in question came from a South Korean rating board and was shared online this week. Like most reviews shared online like this, the game description doesn’t say anything that people didn’t already know. This is a fighting game, intended for ages 15 and up (at least according to Korean Rating Board standards), and was recently rated.
All that being said isn’t new, but it’s not being said here. When a game is rated this way, it’s usually late in the game’s development process, closer to its release date, or when the game It’s one of those things that happens when it releases itself. In this case, we have a 2023 release window, but we don’t have a date yet, so the former could be the case.
In terms of when we can announce a release date, of course, The Game Awards is the next event we can look forward to as a place where people can confirm the release date for Street Fighter 6. It’s coming soon on December 8th, but if Capcom needs to make an announcement in the near future, it’s expected to be there. We’ve already proven that it could happen again in the future, but it seems likely that an announcement will be made soon at The Game Awards.
