Teledyne’s Bold Move: Acquiring Valeport to Expand Oceanic Technology Portfolio

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated recently announced its agreement to acquire Valeport Holdings Limited and its affiliates. Valeport, a company founded in 1969 and based in Totnes, U.K., specializes in designing and manufacturing underwater sensors for various applications such as environmental monitoring, energy exploration, construction projects, and defense operations.

  • Valeport offers a range of underwater sensors including sound velocity probes, current meters, flow meters, conductivity sensors, temperature sensors, depth sensors, multi-parameter profilers with turbidity measurement capabilities, and fluorometer sensors for chlorophyll detection.
  • This acquisition will allow Teledyne Marine to expand its technology portfolio and provide comprehensive solutions to customers by combining imaging technologies, instruments, acoustics equipment, interconnects, and subsea vehicle technology.
