Thanks to Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada and the Ardene Foundation, children at Southlake Regional Health Centre are beaming as a result of their recent gift of Nintendo Switch handheld gaming consoles.

The CEO of Starlight Canada stated, “Many of our Starlight children are not only heroically managing with a serious illness but are also struggling with the dread and isolation that sometimes accompany regular or extended hospital visits.” In a scenario that is incredibly stressful for children, we believe that content like the Starlight Nintendo Switch Handheld can help them relax and decompress. For assisting in making this available to many sick children in hospitals across Canada, we will be eternally thankful to our partner, the Ardene Foundation.
Starlight Canada, which has spent more than 30 years assisting kids with life-threatening illnesses, directly utilizes the power of diversion when sick kids are struggling with stress that can lead to physical and mental health issues. The new Starlight Nintendo Switch handheld application seeks to provide patients and healthcare professionals with a more mobile and adaptable option.
