  • Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has made a pretty clear statement asking players to stop harassing members of the development team. While the developer is also behind the previous Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it’s implied that this seems to be aimed at people specifically harassing members of the Apex Legends team.

“We have recently seen an increase in harassment towards members of our development team,” an announcement was shared on Respawn Entertainment’s official Twitter account late last night. via. “We welcome community feedback, however, the line between constructive feedback and harassment of our development team cannot be crossed.”

“We would like to remind players that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards threats and harassment from our developers,” the statement from Respawn Entertainment continued. “We will take appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our team. We want to hear feedback and will continue to work with our community to foster an environment of respect and cooperation and maintain competitive integrity in our game. ”

It’s unclear if there were any specific incidents that caused Respawn to step in and make this statement. However, this isn’t the first time a video game developer has said something about how gamers are treating employees this year. God of War’s Santa Monica Studio developer Ragnarok asked people to treat each other with respect, such as in July, after rumors of video game news failed to materialize.

All in all, Apex Legends Season 14, or “Hunted”, is now available with Vantage as the new game legend. Apex Legends itself is currently available for free for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Other Respawn Entertainment video games include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
