CAE’s innovative flight simulation technology was recently featured on a new stamp released by the Canada Post as part of its Canadians in Flight series. New stamps can be viewed at the CAE Multimedia Center.
The new stamp, which features both his full-flight simulator of his early CAE and its modern design, features Ken his Patrick, a former Canadian Air Force officer, when he founded his CAE in 1947. It was his 75th anniversary since then. His goal was to “do something in Canada and benefit from a highly innovative and highly technology-intensive war-trained team. Canadian high-tech success that creates cutting-edge digital immersive training and critical operational solutions that make the world a safer place.
“No matter where you fly, your pilot and co-pilot will be trained here in Montreal using his flight simulators designed and built by CAE and in one of our training centers around the world. may have received. We help our customers do their best in the moments that matter,” said Marc Parent, President and Chief Executive Officer of CAE. “CAE proudly celebrates his 75th anniversary as an industry first, so we are pleased that the Canadian Post recognizes his CAE contribution to Canadian history.”
As the cornerstone of Canadian aerospace, CAE is committed to fighting climate change. In 2020, CAE became the first Canadian aerospace company to achieve carbon neutrality in its global operations. Training in a flight simulator significantly reduces fuel consumption. In 2021, over 5 million tons of his CO2 emissions have been avoided by replacing live flight training in aircraft with full flight simulators in his CAE training center.
CAE recently announced that two-thirds of its Piper Archer training fleet will be converted to electric aircraft. The future pilot will be trained at his CAE Flight Schools around the world in electric aircraft that he will reduce CO2 emissions and noise levels. The CAE stamp is part of the second issue of Canada Post’s Canadians in Flight series, honoring the people, planes and technology that have skyrocketed Canada’s reputation for innovation.
