  • GeForce NOW is one of the major companies in the developing cloud gaming market, and it already has a strong portfolio. A Plague Tale: Requiem and Faith: Unholy Trinity are two of the eight new games that they recently unveiled. The most intriguing aspect of the release, though, is the suggestion that a number of other games already in circulation may receive touchscreen support for portable devices, utilizing a specific line of GeForce NOW apps to let players modify these with his controls.

If you are familiar with the expanding cloud gaming market, you are aware that one of his most well-liked phone accessories has evolved into a controller in the shape of a console. Turtle Beach has invested in bringing its Recon series to mobile with the Recon Cloud peripheral, while the much awaited Razer Edge 5G comes paired with the Kishi Pro V2 as standard. These add-ons are essentially necessary for gamers who are accustomed to playing on a console or connecting a controller to their computer in order to simulate a home environment.

Staying Mobile

Nevertheless, as stated in the release that was given to us, “The new touch-enabled controls mean GeForce NOW members may play with simply their mobile devices while on the road, whether phone or tablet.” Control methods are yet another significant barrier for cloud gaming services, as many devices, including phones and tablets, only support touch controllers. You can get around this in certain games, but the experience is significantly worse in others if you do not use a peripheral.

All of this demonstrates how businesses in the cloud gaming industry value the ability to cater to various customers and devices. Cloud gaming loses its primary appeal of being able to play anywhere when you use the same peripherals, such as consoles and PCs, to play your games on a range of devices. The recent attempts by Valve to revive the Steam app with new features like remote downloads and a QR code authentication system may be seen in the focus on mobile compatibility for many gaming providers.

Papers, Please, Tabletop Simulator, and others are noteworthy because they enable native tablet and mobile touchscreen controls. The games introduced include natural ports or those with pre-existing touch-screen support on other platforms, like Into the Breach and Magic: The Gathering: Arena. GeForce also has dedicated tags to ensure compatibility with any of the above devices and direct users to games suitable for gaming on the go.
