Information about a new game in development by Ubisoft has surfaced online. The game is codenamed “Project U” and offers an online co-op experience of sorts. Footage of the game was shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddits following playtesting conducted by the company. At this point, the game appears to be in a very early development stage and Ubisoft wanted feedback on its efforts.
The original Reddit post can be found here. Some of the Project U videos have been removed, but others are still available online. For a game that is still in its early stages of development, the graphics are pretty impressive! The game’s Executive Producer is Damien Kieken, Producer is Karl Luhe, and Carmen Carballo is his concept artist. After this footage leaked, some suggested that Ubisoft might be unlikely to do this kind of playtest in the future, but it could help the publisher get more feedback than otherwise.
It’s unclear if these leaks will affect the final game. The movie clip Just4leaks2 shares is no big deal and many things can change during the game’s development cycle. Ubisoft tends to cook some games longer than others, especially when things go wrong. Games like Skull and Bones and Beyond Good & Evil 2 have seen a lot of delays and reboots as Ubisoft continues to work behind the scenes.
For now, Ubisoft fans will have to wait patiently to see what comes out of Project U! However, given how quickly the game is in development, it may be a while before we hear anything official. there is.
