  • The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) marked 100 days since its launch, with a focus on supporting the UK’s science and tech sectors, and has launched the International Technology Strategy, promising a £3.5bn investment to make the UK a science and technology superpower by 2030. The government has also allocated £370m in funding to invest in technologies such as AI, and DSIT has promised investment and industry backing for life sciences manufacturing, with funding increasing from £75m in 2021/22 to £277m for 2022/23.
  • DSIT played a role in the private sale of Silicon Valley Bank UK to HSBC, which ministers from the department, including Tech Secretary Michelle Donelan, spoke with industry leaders and start-up representatives to decide on a rescue approach. DSIT has made several announcements and plans to maintain momentum and engage willing stakeholders throughout the UK’s innovation ecosystem.
  • Jason Teng, partner and patent attorney at Potter Clarkson, believes that creating momentum and maintaining focus beyond the first 100 days is crucial to achieve long-lasting success. He suggests engaging willing stakeholders throughout the UK’s innovation ecosystem, such as SMEs, corporates, technology parks, and professional associations.

In the world of technology, success is often measured by the ability to deliver innovative solutions that solve real-world problems. In the case of our tech department, the results speak for themselves.

Over the past year, the tech department has spearheaded several key initiatives that have had a significant impact on the company’s operations. From upgrading our network infrastructure to implementing cutting-edge software applications, the team has been hard at work to ensure our technology is up-to-date and capable of delivering the results our clients demand.

One of the most notable successes of the tech department has been the implementation of a new customer relationship management (CRM) system. This software has streamlined our customer-facing processes, allowing us to better track customer interactions and ultimately provide a higher level of service.

Another significant achievement has been the successful launch of our new e-commerce platform. This online store has been a welcome addition to our business, offering customers an easy, convenient way to purchase our products and services from anywhere in the world.

Perhaps the greatest testament to the success of the tech department has been the positive feedback we have received from both customers and employees alike. Our clients have been impressed by our technological capabilities, while our staff has praised the team’s expertise and responsiveness.

Looking to the future, the tech department is committed to staying at the forefront of technological innovation, continuing to find new and exciting ways to leverage technology to drive our business forward. With their track record of success up to this point, we feel confident that they are up to the challenge.
