It looks like a ton of PlayStation 5 stock could be hitting Walmart stores soon, and the PS5 as a whole will celebrate its two-year anniversary in early November. Still, getting hold of Sony’s current-gen console is nearly impossible. Especially for those who want to buy the platform directly from the store. And while the PS5 still looks like it’s in short supply even before the holidays, a promising picture has emerged that suggests availability is improving.
A user recently shared on Reddit posted an image of a shelf full of his PS5 consoles at his local Walmart. In total, there were over 10 PS5s available at this particular location. Video game consoles usually don’t stand out on Walmart shelves, but this is one of the first we’ve seen since the PS5’s arrival. In response, many other Reddit users have expressed both shock and excitement that the PS5 stock price seems to be improving.
Obviously, it is important to note that this is a unique image, making it difficult to predict whether the PS5 will be available at every Walmart location. On the basis of it, it appears that Sony was able to lately ramp up its PS5 inventory. The Japanese tech business aims to increase its PS5 inventory in time for the release of God of War Ragnarok in addition to preparing for the holiday demand. With that in mind, purchasing the PS5 may be simpler than ever, which will no doubt please a lot of potential buyers.
