Zippyshare’s success has been built on a solid but fundamental foundation; Simple and free file storage, through a clean interface, no fees for users. With relatively few options available elsewhere, Zippyshare has been a huge success, and to celebrate its one year anniversary, Zippyshare has gone HUGE.

When file hosting service Zippyshare first showed signs of working in September 2006, accessing the website with an iPhone was impossible; The existence of the smartphone will not be announced for four months.

“A few days ago, Zippyshare.com turned one year old,” its operators wrote in 2007. “On the occasion of Zippyshare’s one-year anniversary, we are increasing the file size limit to 100MB.”

After many upgrades to meet the growing demand, Zippyshare has released Zippyshare Uploader, a software application that allows users to upload files without using a web browser.

Almost three years after the 100MB limit was unexpectedly introduced, Zippyshare doubled its file size limit to 200MB, continuing as if nothing happened or it did so after the Its mail server is repaired. When the operators of Zippyshare announced the closure of the site yesterday, it was the first update posted on the site in almost 5 years.

“We have decided to stop the project at the end of the month. Please back up your important files, you have about two weeks to do it. Until then, the site will work without any changes. any,” the announcement read.
