The mural features bright colors and bold shapes, depicting the university’s school spirit and highlighting the beauty of the Natural State. The piece showcases a picturesque view of the Ozark Mountains and the surrounding region, including the Arkansas River that flows through the area. The mural is a vibrant addition to the campus, elevating the overall aesthetic of the university.

Dr. Robin E. Bowen, President of Arkansas Tech University, expressed her joy with the new mural and the creative talents of the artist, Elle Curry. She said, “The new mural is a wonderful addition to our public art collection. It’s always exciting to see how our campus is enhanced by new works of art. I commend Elle Curry for her impressive design, and I am grateful to have it as part of our university’s public art collection.”

The collection consists of various types of art installations, including sculptures, paintings, and murals located throughout the campus.

The addition of this new mural is a testament to ATU’s commitment to fostering creativity and providing spaces for appreciation of art. It serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for the students, faculty, and staff as they progress through their academic journey.

The university has plans to expand the collection and its cultural programming in the coming years. The ATU community looks forward to seeing the continued growth of the art collection, which clearly elevates the campus environment and enriches the lives of everyone who encounters it.
