In recognition of the hardships brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, A-Tech High School is taking steps to ensure its senior class is well-equipped to succeed in their future endeavors. The school has initiated a program called Career Passports, which will provide graduating seniors with a portfolio of essential documents and resources designed to help them navigate the post-graduation world.
The package will include items such as a resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and a personal statement. Additionally, the school will provide access to career assessments, college applications, and financial aid information to help students plan for their futures.
A-Tech school officials believe that the Career Passport program will be especially beneficial for students who have been affected by the pandemic and the resulting economic downturn. With many students facing increased difficulty in securing employment and continued education opportunities, the Career Passport program aims to provide students with the tools they need to navigate these challenges.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented changes and challenges to everyone’s lives,” said A-Tech Principal, Jane Smith. “We want our seniors to have the best possible chance of success as they enter the next chapter of their lives. The Career Passport program is just one way that we’re working to make this happen.”
The program has already received praise from students and parents alike. Seniors say they’re grateful for the opportunity to put their best foot forward as they apply for jobs or pursue higher education, and parents are relieved to have a supportive network in place to help their children achieve their goals.
With the pandemic still very much in the forefront of everyone’s minds, the Career Passport program is a welcomed gesture of support and optimism for A-Tech’s graduating class. The school hopes this initiative will set an example for other schools and institutions to provide additional assistance to struggling students during these difficult times.
