  • Specialty chemicals group LANXESS expands its existing long-term relationship by selecting Emerson, a global leader in software and technology, as its global alliance partner for automation technology. By modernizing its control and safety systems and digitizing its production facilities, LANXESS wants to optimize operational performance and support its sustainability goals.

The two companies have signed their first global agreement for five years. Emerson will help LANXESS reduce time-to-market for new products by facilitating the adoption of advanced automation technologies and enabling more efficient project execution.

We are eager to strengthen our partnership with Emerson and collaborate more closely to create digital automation solutions that boost operational efficiency. The head of global procurement and logistics at LANXESS said, “Emerson’s automation solutions will support us on our growth path and further advance the digital transformation of production at LANXESS.

The agreement will be supported by collaborative initiatives to create and deploy apps and analytics software to find chances for improved performance and efficiency while simultaneously achieving sustainability objectives.

Emerson is a multinational technology and software firm with its headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri (USA), offering cutting-edge solutions to clients in the industrial, commercial, and residential markets. According to the executive president of Emerson’s Automation Solutions division, “LANXESS and Emerson have a long history of mutually beneficial business relationships.” “This new arrangement enables us to expedite the use of innovative automation solutions and digitalize operations that increase operational efficiency, improve energy usage, and reduce emissions,” the company said.
