The Tokyo Institute of Technology Environmental Report 2022 in Japanese is now available for viewing online. This study provides recent environmental research by Tokyo Tech researchers and discusses the environmental management, environmental performance, and environmental education at Tokyo Tech.
Environmental protection initiatives in association with regional interest organizations and initiatives by the Tokyo VG Student Volunteer Group are also included. Tokyo Tech aims to reduce greenhouse gases and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The report also includes an assessment of the Institute’s environmental goals for 2021 and how these SDG-related initiatives can be improved over the next few years.
Under the 2004 Environment-Related Business Promotion Act, Tokyo Tech and other national university corporations are obligated to prepare and publish environmental reports in the same way as companies. Since 2005, the digest has been published in Japanese, and since 2019, it has been published in English. The English abstract for 2022 will be published soon.
