Facebook hacking investigation by the Alberta health services

Last night, anyone who visited the page would have seen a livestream of the well-known videogame “Dota 2.” AHS assured customers that no private documents had been compromised in a statement posted on Facebook and Twitter.

Last night, there may have been a cyberattack on the Facebook page of Alberta Health Services.


  • “AHS is aware that its AHS EMS Facebook page has been breached. We have contacted Facebook to assist in shutting down the page immediately as a short term solution. AHS is working to address this breach and determine root cause. The site is used to share public education and EMS-related information. No patient information has been breached,” AHS said.
