The top gaming and sportsbook operator in Croatia, SuperSport Group (“SuperSport”), has been acquired by Entain CEE, the regional division of Entain Plc (LSE: ENT), a major global provider of sports betting, gaming, and interactive entertainment.
Entain announced (Link) on August 11, 2022 that it has joined forces with EMMA Capital (“EMMA”), a renowned investment company with operations in the Central and Eastern European (“CEE”) region, to create Entain CEE, a strategic platform to promote growth in the incredibly alluring CEE market.
In the Croatian market, which is completely regulated, SuperSport has a dominant 50% share. Its innovative technological solution supports its unmatched brand, online-focused sports betting, and iGaming offerings.
Entain CEE is a distinctive platform designed to capitalize on the €5.0 billion ($5.0 billion) regulated betting and gaming industry opportunity in CEE. Radim Haluza, CEO of SuperSport, who has extensive experience in this area, is in charge of Entain CEE.
