Following the GTA 6 leak, the Rockstar Games hacker was reportedly arrested

The hacker said he was tracked down by the FBI and subsequently detained. The company has yet to issue an official statement regarding the arrest, but expects to do so in the coming days.

The game’s developer and publisher, Rockstar Games, has reportedly arrested a hacker who published content for the upcoming GTA 6. The hacker was arrested by British police this week after posting screenshots and videos of GTA 6. GTA 6 content leaks are currently being investigated by Rockstar Games. Hackers are rumored to have obtained the source code for GTA 5 and 6 and are openly trying to sell them ahead of their release date. The hacker not only leaked his 90 videos of GTA 6, but also claimed to have access to the source code of GTA 5 and his GTA 6, and even released snippets of it to prove it.

The arrest of a hacker allegedly leaking information about GTA 6 isn’t the only time Rockstar Games has faced data breaches. In 2014, a modder posted information about Red Dead Redemption 2 on Reddit, and in 2016, a gamer posted Red Dead Redemption 2 photos on 4chan. Last month, authorities arrested someone he believed was involved in a GTA 6 leak. Rockstar Games has yet to comment on the hacker’s arrest.

The Rockstar Games hacker who released the GTA 6 video is reportedly just 17 years old. The hacker was arrested by the FBI for copyright infringement and wire fraud. Rockstar Games is one of the industry’s most secretive game developers. They’re known for their low-key demeanor when it comes to future projects and upcoming games.For years, they can keep their secrets hidden until they’re ready to reveal them to the world.
