Tech News of the Week: Google Removes Indian Apps, Windows 11 Update, and More

  • Google removed over 10 apps by Indian developers from the Play Store due to non-compliance, but most apps were restored after intervention by Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
  • Microsoft released a major software update for Windows 11, introducing new features like an updated AI-powered Copilot and generative erase in the photos app.
  • Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Ring, its first smart ring at Mobile World Congress 2024, focusing on health-centric features such as heart rate monitoring and step tracking. The Ring is expected to be available for purchase by the end of 2024.
