On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Great Falls College-MSU held a “Meet the Experts” session to teach existing and potential students about information technology. The College’s Department of Computer Technology arranged the panel. What aspects of your employment do you like and dislike, asked program director Cheryl Simpson? Which facets of your profession specifically call for soft skills? It therefore provides you additional information to have various information from people who are truly involved in the industry.
Representatives from D.A. Raytheon, Davidson, Brightvine, Motion Encoding, and Benefis Health System were on the panel. Everyone shared their experiences and provided advice for people who desire to work in the technical sector as they responded to questions from the presenters and the audience. One of the panelists was Vickie Nelson. She serves as Benefis Health System’s vice president and chief administrative officer.
She made a point of mentioning how diverse the sector is. In other words, there are various methods of operation. the specialization you pursue and the industry you work in, your duties and job actually differ. But the best part about it is that. the search of limitless possibilities
One of the four computer technology degrees offered at Great Falls College is cybersecurity. Programming, information support systems, and network security and support are some further options. Prior to enrolling in some of the available courses, student Jordyn Merchant claims he had no interest in pursuing a career in the sector. She remarked, “I thought the cybersecurity component to be quite interesting. “I made the choice to include it in my schedule. But it is always crucial to maintain everything secure and to understand how things operate, particularly in this day and age.”
