Enel, Michelin, and Standard Bank have been named as this year’s European Technology Awards winners by Forrester. These awards, which were revealed at the Forrester Technology & Innovation EMEA event, honor Michelin and Standard Bank for integrating Enel’s architecture practice as a result-driven organization, as well as Enel for establishing a company-wide future-ready technology strategy. The consumer was regarded as being at the center of each organization’s operational model.

This year’s recipient of the Forrester Technology Strategy Impact Award is the international energy firm Enel. Enel is pleased to have created a comprehensive digital platform to support its international retail segment. Enel gains from an insight-based approach to improve customer experience by embracing Agile and DevOps principles, including AI and automation, and putting into reality a technology strategy centered on growing digital capabilities.
The company’s digital platform has already raised customer net promoter scores, and by 2024 as compared to 2021, it is anticipated that customer activation times will have decreased by 80%. French tire manufacturer Michelin is one of his recipients of this year’s Forrester Enterprise Architecture Award. Michelin is proud to put customer experience at the center of its ecosystem by taking a data-driven approach and breaking down data silos.
Standard Bank has been honored for developing a model to evolve its business into a platform for Africa. This model is used to keep the entire business aligned in developing a minimally viable product. In addition, the company created an architecture decision catalog to help solution architects more easily and quickly create designs that fit the company’s technology strategy, and established an architecture community forum for ongoing collaboration.
After realizing that an overly focused focus on final architecture and architectural purity was counterproductive, Michelin’s Enterprise His architecture team led the implementation and deployment of agile infrastructure, turning the deployment team into guided and supported the business. Standard Bank, a South African banking and financial services group, also won this year’s Forrester Enterprise Architecture Award.
