Along with more than 90 million tracks, you also have access to more than 450,000 videos. There are several more features, but just know that this is for the premium $19.99/month. There are cheaper tiers available, so you can check them out here. The Tidal early access program is coming to Android.

Tidal is a rather specialised service among the many music streaming services available. While this is true, only iOS users have access to its coveted early access programme. Currently, Tidal is expanding the early access programme to Android, according to 9To5Google. If you’re unfamiliar with Tidal, it’s a music streaming service that prioritises excellent music. The top tier allows the customer access to insanely high-quality music that has a bitrate of up to 9216 kbps. HiFi audio, Sony 360 Reality Audio, and Dolby Atmos are further options. It’s undoubtedly for music lovers who are audiophiles and demand the best quality.

Highlights

  • That’s about to change, fortunately. According to the announcement post, Tidal will be “rolling it out for Android shortly.” We’re not sure when the program is going to come to Android phones. We’re all used to services and apps arriving on iOS before Android. This is something that happens even on Google apps of all things.

  • People like to try out the new features coming to Tidal early, and so the service has an early access beta program. Folks who invest in the highest-tier plan get an email letting you know about the beta program. You’ll be able to be among the first people to try out new stuff coming to the program. However, if you’re an Android user, you’ve been out of luck. Only the people in iOS land are able to join the program.

If you’re looking to be front and center for new features, then you might want to consider getting the premium tier plan for the service. There’s also a $9.99/month tier and a free plan. Those, however, don’t allow you into the beta program.
