In order to give drugstore, pharmacy, and healthcare services organizations a more adaptable, data-driven, and effective platform for growth and operations, Rite Aid and Google Cloud have entered into a comprehensive technical relationship. The firms made plans to include Google cloud technology public yesterday in order to provide Philadelphia-based Rite Aid with more intelligence, agility, and a better customer experience.
Additionally, Rite Aid’s more than 6,400 pharmacists may spend more time communicating directly with patients thanks to updated software for individualized digital experiences.
Rite Aid will transfer its main application delivery application to Google Cloud’s managed platform, Anthos, as part of a multi-year agreement. These programs include the digital engagement platform, customer messaging system, and vaccination planning tools from Rite Aid.
Google Cloud stated that Anthos will provide Rite Aid pharmacies with local access to cloud computing, enabling more reliable operations. California-based tech giant, Rite Aid will be able to continue to offer superior care during natural disasters thanks to comprehensive patient information, sophisticated prescription management, and the capacity to make recommendations without being connected to centralized, antiquated mainframe technology.More specifically, Rite Aid said, the Google Cloud partnership will help the company “realize its vision of a modern pharmacy.”
Rite Aid launched its “pharmacy of the future” idea in late 2020, which called for locations to provide a greater selection of wellness-related goods and services as well as an expanded role for pharmacists. In order to accelerate digital transformation in other areas of their business, Rite Aid also collaborates with Google Cloud. These initiatives comprise:
“During COVID, pharmacies’ influence and the vital role pharmacists play in promoting community health significantly increased. According to Justin Mennen, executive vice president and chief digital and technology officer at Rite Aid, “realizing that potential requires making deliberate investments in technology that will actually serve our clients and optimize the skills of our pharmacists.” The ability for our store personnel to assist our customers in achieving whole health for life is made possible by Google Cloud’s solutions, which are uniquely positioned to function at each pharmacy site.
BigQuery is being used by Rite Aid to move its business data to Google Cloud. The change would allow pharmacists to make data-driven decisions about how to run their businesses by giving them more insight into their finances, supply chain inventory, and customer information.
Better Search: When using Rite Aid’s e-commerce websites and mobile apps, customers will receive more accurate search results thanks to Google Cloud’s retail search solution. For product ranking results, the improved search experience uses Rite Aid’s first-party data (promotions, inventory availability, pricing, etc.) in conjunction with Google-quality search models to comprehend user intent.
