His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the initiative, stating that the UAE is committed to leveraging its expertise in technology and innovation to drive positive change in developing countries.

The fund will focus on partnering with governments, non-governmental organizations, and private sector entities in developing nations to identify and implement technology solutions that can address pressing societal challenges.
